Data from Your Institution
We may obtain information from your employing or affiliated institution to activate and manage access to its subscription, including contact details, job title, and institutional user ID.

Data from Other Sources We may obtain contact details and other information from entities within the Science Catalogs group, social networks (with permission), location service providers, co-branded partners, and publicly available sources to validate or supplement data.

Device and Usage Data Services automatically collect interaction data, such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, usage patterns (features used, pages visited, timestamps), course modules for educational services, and location for location-aware services. This is gathered via servers, cookies, and other technologies. Cookie controls are available via browser settings, though blocking may limit functionality. How We Use Your Information We use your personal information to provide relevant experiences, including: Managing access and transactions; Personalizing content based on interests and location; Improving services with new features; Notifying about updates; Delivering targeted ads and promotions; Providing support and security; Analyzing trends for research, audits, royalties, and business operations. We may also use it to respond to inquiries, invite manuscript participation, issue payments, conduct surveys, send promotions, improve products, and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing of Your Information Your Institution Subscription administrators may access usage data (downloads, test scores, searches) for analysis, management, and budgeting. Our Group Companies and Service Providers We share with Science Catalogs affiliates and providers (editors, payment processors, IT services) to deliver Services, under confidentiality measures. Your Choices You control sharing via preferences; public posts may be indexed and irretrievable. Legal Reasons Disclosure occurs for legal compliance, security/fraud prevention, rights protection, or corporate transactions.

Administrator data is used for subscription communications. Customize preferences via account settings, opt-out links, or the Science Catalogs Preference Center.
Accessing and Updating Your Information Registered users can update accounts directly. You have rights (where applicable) to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or port data—contact Science Catalogs Privacy Support. Identity verification may be required.

Data Retention We retain information as needed for Services, transactions, legal compliance, records, disputes, security, and enforcement. Data Security Appropriate technical and organizational measures protect against loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access.
